final post

There were a lot of things I already know from prior classes, but in this class I got the chance to really perfect the skills required to write a college paper. The skill I developed the most was framing my paper along with the sources to perfection. You really had to constantly work on getting 9 sources that not only worked for your thesis, but also together. I had to go through a lot of sources because even though they somewhat related to my thesis, they did not make sense when thrown into my entire paper. I really learned to manage my thoughts and direction in terms of sources.
2. I would tell them to listen. That's the most important thing anyone in this class(taught by Professor Dragan) should know. Dragan says and explains everything clearly and effectively but the problem is that you have to listen. If you follow what he says and do the work on time, you can easily get an A in this class. It is a challenging class because it is tedious and full of little steps. The actual work in each step however, is very easy. Follow with your ears and with the deadlines and you'll cruise through to the end. I wish I could have told myself this at the beginning of the class.
3. I definitely would have given myself more time for the actual paper and first draft. I did not exactly keep up with the research milestones so it was hard for me to bring it all together at the end. You really need to climb the stairs to reach the end of the class. Seriously, take each thing step by step and do not be afraid to take a step back. There were times that I should have stepped back a few stairs, reexamine my direction and then continue from there.
