My first blog!

      Hello, everyone. My name is Stamatios Manes but most people call me "Sta" for short. I am a 22 year-old male going on 23 in July. My major is currently psychology and I have a huge interest in it but I am not sure if I love it enough to pursue it after Laguardia. I am still doing some soul searching in terms of my future career plans, but I know for sure that I want to graduate from Laguardia and make my way to a four year university.
     I am more sure of what my hobbies and outside interests are. I love to watch, read and play sports like its my religion and that is my truest love. Nothing beats going out for a good run, but I still have my favorite movies and books. I love all types of adventure films and books, as well comedies and sci-fi. My favorite movies is hard to pin down but the Star Wars franchise wins my heart. When it comes to my favorite book, "Watership Down" is the only book I have read more than twice and I am already planning on reading it again.
     I am definitely in between on the whole technology for/against discussion. There are pros and cons for both sides. Technology has made the world a more efficient place where it has helped communicate in ways that seemed impossible before. It also has helped us learn things about us and our universe all while providing us with a better health care. There is no doubt that technology is good for us, but what about the cons? The cons are extremely obvious. Just look outside and you will need a few hands to count off the people staring into their phones like zombies. Technology has ruined social interaction, physical stimulation, and has slowly made our worlds a little "fake". People now a days spend more time in the world that is called "internet" than on planet Earth. When it comes down to it, we only have our fellow man but technology teaches us that we don't really need them.
